Ontario Works

Family and Children's Services

Victim Witness

Helps victims and witnesses of crime who may be required to attend court and take part in the criminal justice system * provides assistance in many areas including, courtroom practices and procedures, emotional support, court updates and referrals to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board and community services.

Addictions and Mental Health Services of Kingston Frontenac Lennox and Addington

To provide individuals with mental health and addiction concerns a broad range of integrated, client centred services. To promote wellness and encourage individuals to achieve healthy lifestyle goals while respecting their dignity, needs, values and beliefs.

Maltby Centre
Maltby provides services to children from birth to 18 years of age in Frontenac Lennox & Addington counties. We respond to more than 1,000 referrals each year, and provide services within a goal-focused and client and family-oriented framework. Some of our children and youth clients have difficulties with behaviour or emotions, while others have experienced mental health problems such as depression, withdrawal, or aggression. Some of our clients have been impacted by family violence, abuse, family distress, trauma, substance abuse, or parent-child conflict.

We encourage victims to use a safer computer at a library, community centre or even at a local domestic violence advocacy office. This is especially important when researching escape plans. Looking for bus tickets, shelter information and housing classified ads on a home computer can alert your abuser and increase your risk.
